The OU School of Music's Opera Theatre and the OU School of Dance will present the second evening showing of the Viennese operetta "Die Fledermaus" (The Bat) at 8 p.m. tonight in the Donald W. Reynolds Performing Arts Center in Holmberg Hall.

"Die Fledermaus," composed by Johann Strauss, is a comedy that first premiered in 1874 in Vienna about practical jokes and revenge between lovers and friends in conjunction with a large ball by Prince Orlofsky.

"I am really excited about the show," said Justine Summers, a zoology senior who plays Prince Orlofsky. "I think the audience will have fun, and that energy will definitely affect my performance."

Tickets to the OU production are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, OU faculty and staff; and $10 for students. The production will be shown again at 8 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. For more information about tickets, call (405) 325-4101.
